The public charter school system in Maryland in general and Baltimore in particular has been a very contentious issue. There is a lot of misinformation out there.

This site was started to bust the myths that are getting in the way of a transparent and open discussion about the role public charter schools should play in our school system and our community.

This site is not affiliated with or operated by any of the charter schools in Baltimore, nor is it run by the school district. It is an advocacy website started for citizens who want public policy debates to be based on clear and credible information.
